The Department of Tourism, Culture, Broadcasting, Television, and Sports of Hainan Province plans to organize 12 tourism promotion activities this summer.
Travel agents, media members, and tourism experts will be invited to visit Hainan and experience the tourism resources and products in the south China province.
From June to August, delegations from countries and regions such as Thailand, Ukraine, Central Asia, and Macao will embark on trips in Hainan, following local characteristic travel routes.
Thanks to the increasing number of overseas air routes, the Hainan department will invite more global insiders to Hainan to promote tourism to the island province and attract more overseas tourists to travel to it.

Hainan will introduce travel agencies, tourist hotels, and characteristic tourism commodities to overseas visitors. It will also strengthen cooperation with local professional associations and inbound tourism enterprises, as well as further integrate tourism resources to expand the international tourism market and propel mutually beneficial cooperation between Hainan and overseas tourism enterprises.
More than 40 Ukrainian media members and travel agent representatives started an eight-day trip on June 4 visiting Sanya's scenic spots. They also were introduced to Sanya's recreational and leisure offerings, including traditional Chinese medicine therapy.
Prior to that, more than 70 journalists and tourism insiders from Australia visited hotels, tourist attractions, and golf courses in Haikou, Qionghai, Sanya, and Baoting. After a series of inspection activities, they reached a consensus that Hainan has become different and showed great development potential.
In addition, Hainan will organize activities to reveal its country tour and biking tour activities.
The Department of Tourism, Culture, Broadcasting, Television, and Sports of Hainan Province will also invite travel agents and enterprise representatives participating in the 2019 Hainan Boao Tourism MICE City Promotion Conference in Guangzhou and the 2019 IBTM China in Beijing to visit Hainan and experience its tropical customs, hotel industry, policy advantages, and new tourism opportunities.
