Moon Bay in Wenchang, Hainan province has received a gross investment of 15.49 billion yuan ($2.24 billion) to date.
Nine enterprises have settled down in the area, spending 14.65 billion yuan in investment and construction.
The local government has subsidized 840 million yuan in infrastructure construction such as roads, bridges, gas supply stations, and sewage treatment stations.
Moon Bay aims to be a high-end resort area integrating tours and sightseeing, coastal vacations, sports and leisure, healthcare, as well as comprehensive services.
