The Second Affiliated Hospital of Hainan Medical University, formerly Hainan Provincial Nongken General Hospital, is a Class-A tertiary comprehensive hospital that integrates medical services, teaching, and scientific research.

In February 2016, it was formally transferred to the management of Hainan Medical University. It is Hainan's medical insurance designated hospital,  designated hospital for in vitro fertilization (IVF), and designated hospital for kidney transplantation.

Founded in 1952 with an area of more than 800 mu (53.33 hectares), the hospital is divided into three areas: the General Hospital, the East Lake Branch, and the Wushi Branch. It has 1,800 beds in 46 clinical departments, as well as 24 medical and technical departments. Among its 2,556 staff members, 250 have senior titles, 150 are doctors, 18 are national or provincial experts, and 28 are masters.
