Nearly 20 voluntary blood donors coming from cities and counties in Hainan gathered at the Hainan Provincial Blood Center on May 8 to donate blood.

They were the first batch of voluntary blood donors over 60 years old.

The new Regulations on Voluntary Blood Donation of Hainan Special Economic Zone were implemented on May 1 this year. One of the highlights is that Hainan extends qualified blood donors' age from 60 to 65, the highest in the country.
