Li Xiaopeng, chairman of China Everbright Group Limited, said at the Boao Forum for Asia on Wednesday that venture capital, as an important part of capital needed in China, has been under stringent regulation.
According to Li, China's internet and artificial intelligence development has been at a leading position, but venture capital has not. China should create a better environment for venture capital amid its opening-up of financial market, so as to make it more integrated with development of internet technology and AI.
