The Sanya Haichang Fantasy Town in Hainan province officially opened to the public on Jan 20, after several days of assessment.
Located on the coastline of Haitang Bay and in the middle of the bay's high-end hotel area, it is China's first immersive ocean-themed entertainment complex to integrate cultural tourism, leisure, entertainment and innovation.
The first section of the complex covers an area of 232,500 square meters and consists of 13 entertainment items, two theater shows, over 30 performances, eight themed restaurants, over 50 specialty snack bars and more than 30 themed stores.
The fantasy town uses advanced and interactive technology to promote science and entertainment. The diverse cuisine and scene-oriented shopping area here will satisfy the high demands of tourists.

The town has the catchphrase "Perfect Vacation" and is aimed at providing year-round tourism services in Sanya. It consists of eight themed areas: Haitang Bay, African Sea, Persian Gulf, Bay of Bengal, Java Sea, South China, Waterside Hallway and Fantasy Ocean Theater. The variety of themes helps create a global atmosphere and makes the park a landmark in world-class entertainment.
C Show, Hainan's first 3D water stage play to integrate sea, land and air scenes, will be performed at the Dolphin Bay Theater of Atlantis Sanya on Feb 5, the first day of the Chinese lunar new year. It is a new intellectual property of Fosun Tourism Group and is expected to help improve Sanya’s tourism industry.
Hello Kitty Park, a world-class tourism complex, will also open in Sanya soon, and the city plans to build more high quality pedestrian streets, entertainment facilities, large shopping areas and commodity bonded trading centers. It will also add more international flights and cruise lines to promote all-in-one tourism and economic development.
