The ceremony also confirmed several headquarter enterprises launched since Nov 29. The province is currently home to a total of 30 company headquarters, 22 of which are located in its capital city of Haikou and eight of which are located in Sanya.

The launching and contract-signing of the projects demonstrates the rapid development of tourism, the modern service industry and high-tech industries in Hainan, according to several provincial government officials at the ceremony.
