The 30,000-square-meter exhibition hall displayed travel agencies, leisure vacation tourist destinations, tourist service agencies and travel kits from all over the world. It gathered global island leisure travel destinations and top leisure sightseeing resources, which helped enhance Hainan's impact on island tourism and build a platform facilitating communication and cooperation.

The Hainan World Leisure Tourism Expo 2018 was hosted by the Hainan Tourism Development Committee and the Haikou municipal people's government.

After three years of remarkable development, the expo has become Asia's largest and most influential platform for professional communication and customer marketing in the leisure tourism industry.

With the support of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, Hainan is developing the whole island into a pilot free trade zone, and gradually exploring and steadily promoting the establishment of a free trade port. Hainan next plans to build an international tourism and consumption center, which will bring many new opportunities in tourism cooperation and culture exchanges.
