The planning and design of the Sanya Headquarters Economy and CBD Boot Area was posted online to be subject to public notice on Nov 17, according to the Planning Committee of Sanya.

The 894.78-hectare boot area, which flanks Yingbin Road in downtown, involves four clusters, including Phoenix Sea Coast, Yuechuan, East Coast and Hailuo. It will commit to developing a large consumer business circle and headquarters economy.

In terms of spatial structure, it will encompass an international business axis along Yingbin Road, which will be home to headquarters of internationally well-known enterprises and organizations. A Sanya Bay culture & art coastal belt will integrate free trade services, consumer business circles, and liner and yachting functions.

Additionally, a landscape corridor will take shape to link up Luhuitou, Linchun Ridge, Phoenix Ridge, Jinji (Gold Rooster) Ridge, Sanya River, Linchun River, East Coast Wetland Park, and Hailuo Urban Green Belt.

The heights of buildings along the Phoenix Sea Coast will be controlled to ensure the preservation of the view. The skyline of Sanya Bay will consist of a mixture of old and newly built urban buildings alongside the area's mountains and coast.

Meanwhile, the boot areas will use light colors and dark shadows to highlight a simple but modern cityscape.

Boutique travel routes will connect multiple nodes such as Huanhekou International Yachting Port, the Port Affairs Culture & Art Experience Area, Phoenix Island International Yachting Home Port, Luhuitou Park (which overlooks Phoenix Sea Coast), Yuechuan International Commercial Culture Pedestrian Street and Comprehensive Business Area, East Coast Wetland Park and Hailuo International Talents Community.
