Hainan promotes maternal and child health with Shanghai and Guangdong

The Hainan Maternal & Child Health Medical Treatment Alliance was established at the Children's Hospital of Hainan Province on Aug 9.

Thirty-three medical institutions including one from Shanghai, four from Guangdong province and 28 from Hainan joined the alliance to deepen cooperation and promote the health of women and children.

Medical resources of the Children's Hospital of Fudan University in Shanghai were introduced to enhance the level of the island province's pediatric medical talent team and lessen burdens caused by the implementation of the two-child policy.

According to the Health and Family Planning Commission of Hainan Province, the alliance will gradually build up a maternal and child health service system that conforms to the construction of Hainan's pilot free trade zone.
