Hainan's GDP exceeds 243.4b yuan in H1

The People's Government of Hainan Province held an economic operating condition press conference regarding the first half of this year on July 18.

Calculated by the State Statistics Bureau, Hainan's GDP in the first six months of this year was about 243.49 billion yuan ($35.97 billion) with a year-on-year growth of 5.8 percent. The tertiary industrial added value contributed most among the three industry levels with a total amount of 141.61 billion yuan.

The per capita disposable income of permanent residents reached 12,694 yuan in the first half of the year, a nominal growth of 9.5 percent and an actual growth of 6.6 percent compared to the same period last year. The average disposable income of urban residents was 16,780 yuan and that of rural people stood at 7,868 yuan.
