The general offices of the provincial Party committee and the people's government of Hainan recently launched a trial measure to offer employment for spouses of newly-introduced high-level talents in Hainan.
The move aims to attract more high-level personnel from home and abroad to work and start a business in Hainan, create a favorable human resource environment, and further build the advanced talent team.
The talent should satisfy the requirements of the province and sign a labor contract over three years with a local organization or a company in Hainan. If the spouse is willing to get a job in the province, the organization or the company has the duty to offer a post.
If the spouse can't work due to health or if they do not meet requirements for a job, the government will provide living allowances and help pay basic endowment and medical insurances for urban and rural residents.
