Over 50 journalists from around 30 media organizations nationwide visited Xiuying district in Haikou on June 4, to learn about the litchi cultural festival in Huoshan village and the achievements that have been made in developing the ecological environment of the area.
During the trip lasting one and a half days, the journalists visited such places as Meishe village, the Volcano Dendrobium Park, Meifu village, Sanqing village, Fengtang village, the Yongxing E-commerce Poverty Relief Center, and a litchi orchard in Boxue village.
The activity was jointly organized by the publicity departments of the Haikou municipal committee and the Xiuying district committee.

Meishe village in Shishan town possesses captivating volcanic landscapes. With a history of over 800 years, it was honored "Hainan's top 10 most beautiful villages" in 2014 and listed among the fourth batch of traditional Chinese villages in 2016.
