China's first commercial spaceflight industry alliance established in Hainan

The China Commercial Spaceflight Industry Alliance was set up in Sanya on May 27, the first one of its kind nationwide to offer an open, compatible, and integrated platform to promote the development of commercial spaceflight and enrich its ecological environment.

The alliance was initiated by the Sanya Research Center of the Institute of Remote Sensing and Digital Earth of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Sanya Remote Sensing Information Industrial Park of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Beijing Future Aerospace Technology Institute in unity with more than 50 space industrial research institutes, colleges, and enterprises. Its purpose is to promote the sound development of commercial spaceflight to various territories across the country and help contribute to the progress of space industrialization.

As one of its initiators, the Sanya Research Center of the Institute of Remote Sensing and Digital Earth of the Chinese Academy of Sciences places great expectations on the new alliance. Center Director Yang Tianliang said that the alliance will incorporate related enterprises and research institutes to form a better development environment and expand its influence.
