Air quality of Haikou ranks first nationwide

Haikou, capital of Hainan province, ranked at the top of the air quality status report from January to April released by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment on May 23.

Among 74 major cities, Haikou, Lhasa and Zhuhai took the top three positions in April, followed by Shenzhen, Zhoushan, Zhongshan and Huizhou (sharing 6th place), Guiyang, Xiamen and Lishui.

From January to April, the top 10 were Haikou, Lhasa, Zhoushan, Xiamen, Lishui, Shenzhen, Fuzhou, Huizhou, Zhuhai and Taizhou.

Haikou plans to maintain its good air quality by strict control over flying dust and mobile pollution sources and vigorous promotion of green power.
