A delegation from Hainan arrived in Shanghai on May 8 for a series of forums, exhibitions and performances at the first session of the Exposition on China Indigenous Brand (ECIB) and the International Forum on China Brand Development (IFCBD).

Aiming to promote Hainan brands and show Hainan's brand building achievements, 13 indigenous brand enterprises in the fields of food and beverages, tourism, fishery, technology, financing and pharmacy were selected to display their products and corporate culture in an exhibition area of 250 sq m.

In recent years, Hainan province has supported and cultivated a batch of branded products, enterprises and industries depending on local resources and superiorities. Its tropical fruits and winter vegetables have become Hainan's visiting cards enjoying increasing popularity and enhanced reputation at home and abroad.

Spectators also can watch folklore performances and Li ethnic group singing and dancing at the site.

Individuals can attend the expo for free after showing ID cards or passports. Groups with over 20 members will be provided free interpretation services after making an appointment.
