The photographs exhibited at this exhibition were selected from 350,000 works by Michael Yamashita, who retraced the Land and Maritime Silk Road, as well as from those of other photographers.
They record the natural scenery, culture and people along the Silk Road and are therefore very precious and irreplaceable. They not only demonstrate the contributions made by China to the world during the past 700 years, but also represent the role of the Belt and Road Initiative in promoting common prosperity.
The exhibition was first launched in 2016 and has been mounted in Beijing, Hong Kong, Singapore, Atlanta and London.
