The 2018 ISA World Longboard Surfing Championship held its opening ceremony in Wanning, a city of southern China's Hainan province, on Jan 19.
The week-long championship attracted 200 athletes from 30 countries and regions.
To help the athletes release their pressure, the organizing committee of the championship arranged a special tour for over 30 athletes to visit local Dongshan Mountain.
The tour enables the athletes to not only enjoy the natural landscape of Wanning but also to learn more about the city's local culture.
Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, the athletes relaxed themselves by appreciating the picturesque scenery of the Dongshan Mountain, listening to the brids singing and wandering around the woods.
Knowing that Dongshan Mountain is renowned for Buddhist culture, all the athletes made their good wishes and prayed for good luck. Many athletes said that this visit was an unforgettable memory for them and they are looking forward to their next visit to Wanning.
